Olinda House was built broadly on the footprint of the original house to minimise site impact and maintain existing trees. The exterior cladding used here is our 120 x 19 Ironbark Cladding with a Cutek Stain. This timber was chosen due to its excellent durability and the fact it has the highest Bal rating acheivable for a natural timber. Olinda House was shortlisted in 2020 for the Architecture and Design National Sustainability Awards ‘single dwelling new’ category. The front exterior of this home is clad in beautiful Blackbutt Cladding with its pitched roof, reminiscent of the serene Scandinavian countryside. The back of the property has a studio for teenagers that has been clad in the 120 x 19 Charred Timber Cladding which can be seen through the windows at the back of the home.
